The Baltimore Ravens are already without Lamar Jackson for the foreseeable future due to a thumb injury. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley will also miss the remainder of the season with a turf toe injury, according to multiple reports.
Huntley will require surgery for the injury suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills, a development first reported by ESPN.
Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano filled in for Huntley on Sunday and is expected to start Thursday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 25-year-old spent seven seasons in college, starting his career with Maine before transferring to UConn.

Fagnano struggled in his NFL debut, though. He finished Sunday’s game 10-21 with 91 yards and an interception.
The Ravens signed Kedon Slovis on Tuesday to serve as Fagnano’s backup. Slovis appeared in two games with the Arizona Cardinals in 2025 — attempting just two passes — before spending the 2026 campaign on the Green Bay Packers’ practice squad.
Baltimore also added former UFL quarterback Austin Reed to the practice squad.
The 4-4 Ravens are clinging to hope that they can avoid a lost season. They lost two out of three games Jackson missed last month with an ankle sprain. He was sent to injured reserve this week, with first-year coach Jesse Minter admitting that the injury could be season-ending.
Baltimore, which is currently on a three-game losing streak, trails the Pittsburgh Steelers by two games in a competitive AFC North.
