Amazon Prime members can now order food delivery through the Amazon app, with the delivery fee waived for orders $25 and up.

The food deliveries will be made using the Uber Eats network, Amazon said Thursday.

The new perk is available to people at all tiers of Amazon Prime membership via the Amazon website and Amazon Shopping app, with no new app download, credentials or Uber account required.

During the first two weeks of the new perk, Prime users will also get $20 off their first two orders worth $25 or more. There will also be delivery offers exclusive to Prime members, Amazon said.

The new Uber Eats perk replaces a previous deal that began in 2022 that gave Amazon Prime members access to Grubhub+.

The Amazon-Grubhub agreement ended Thursday, an Amazon spokesperson told technology news website TechCrunch.

A Grubhub spokesperson told TechCrunch that effective Thursday, Amazon Prime users can’t order delivery via the Grubhub network on the Amazon website or Amazon Shopping app.

Amazon Prime members who used the previous perk to get separate Grubhub+ accounts will be able to use those memberships through Dec. 31, 2027, the Grubhub spokesperson told TechCrunch.

The e-commerce giant also used to run its own Amazon Restaurants delivery service between 2015 and 2019, according to technology news website The Verge.
