Hamas is threatening Israel with another attack like the Oct. 7, 2023, slaughter that killed upward of 1,200 people and transported 250 to the Gaza Strip.
A Hamas official told a U.N. humanitarian coordinator that the potential targets include locations inside Israel, the West Bank and overseas, according to Israel’s Ynet news.
According to the report, the Hamas official was frustrated over the weakening of the terror group’s control over Gaza, with continued Israeli military operations in the region.

The U.N. official relayed Hamas’ message to Maj. Gen. Yoram Halevy, Israel’s coordinator of government activities in Gaza.
“Israeli officials described it as an extraordinary threat, unprecedented in its bluntness and directness,” Ynet reported.
Hamas is no longer believed to be capable of launching an assault on the scale of the 2023 massacre.
“It could, however, attack military outposts, abduct soldiers, or attempt to infiltrate Israeli communities,” Ynet reported, citing a senior Israeli official.
