President Trump asked Google to rename the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean after himself but acknowledged it wasn’t possible because the bodies of water span several countries.

The president told supporters at a rally in South Carolina on Wednesday that he suggested “Trump Ocean” after Google changed the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America for its U.S. customers.

“We seriously looked at the Atlantic Ocean. I called Google Maps, who were really great with the lake, really great and I spoke to a brilliant guy, Sundar [Pichai], he heads all of Google. He’s a brilliant guy,” Mr. Trump said.

According to the president, the Google chief rejected the idea.

“Oceans are different, sir. They cover really a lot of countries. Please don’t ask us to do that,” Mr. Trump recounted.
