When this current NBA season concludes, longtime “Inside the NBA” broadcaster Ernie Johnson will be stepping off the court for the last time as part of the show.

Johnson, 70, announced Wednesday that “it’s just time,” but “this is by no means the end.”

“It’s just a turning of the page,” Johnson continued in a video posted to X, “and I’ll forever cherish every chapter we have written with ‘Inside the NBA.’ And lastly, I just want to say thanks to you. Thanks for your loyalty, for your love, for your support, and on this day, for your understanding.”
