The reward for information leading to the arrest of escaped Tennessee inmate and convicted murderer Jacob Morley is up to $15,000, state officials said Wednesday.
In addition to $2,500 initially offered by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), the office of Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is offering $7,500 and the U.S. Marshals Service is offering $5,000, the TBI said on social media.
The escaped inmate, 28, is listed on the Tennessee Department of Corrections website as standing 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing around 240 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.

Morley is considered dangerous, having been sentenced to life in prison in June 2025 for the 2022 murder of his co-worker Cody Birchfield. Birchfield’s corpse was found in a box under Morley’s home at the time and, when police went to his home to talk to him about the case, he fled, leading cops on a chase into North Carolina.
Carrie Norman, Birchfield’s sister, said that she was “reliving this horrible tragedy all over again” and that “I find myself asking the public for help to find my brother’s murderer when he should be in prison locked away,” in a statement to ABC News.
Morley escaped from a state prison in Tiptonville, Tennessee, roughly 91 miles northeast of Memphis, late on Sunday night after breaching a perimeter fence. He stole a truck in the area marked “Lindamood Planting Company” early on Monday morning, the TBI said.
The truck was found abandoned Tuesday in Marion, Illinois, roughly 98 miles northeast of Tiptonville and roughly 295 miles southwest of Chicago.
