Former NBA star Lamar Odom announced that he joined OnlyFans, the platform commonly associated with adult performers and content.
Odom, 46, is the first NBA player, retired or active, to join the site.
In a statement to TMZ Thursday, Odom wrote, “People hear OnlyFans and automatically think one thing, but I’m not here to tell you what you will or won’t see.”

He added, “I’ve lived a pretty wild life, and trust me, there are still a few surprises left. I’ve always been an open book, but there are some chapters people haven’t seen yet.”
While OnlyFans is typically linked to adult content, the site can be used for celebrities to connect with fans, which seems to be the case with Odom.
In a separate statement to People, Odom wrote, “Joining OnlyFans gives me a chance to connect with my fans on a whole different level, without all the filters.”
Odom’s girlfriend, Los Angeles realtor Rachel Bradley, also started an account on the site.
Odom played 14 seasons in the NBA, with most of his career on the Los Angeles Lakers. He married Khloe Kardashian in 2009 after one month of dating. The couple split four years later.
The former basketball player has dealt with drug and alcohol issues throughout his career. He was arrested in January on DUI charges in Las Vegas. In March, he said he was “60 days completely sober,” according to People.
