Country singer Zach Bryan wore a “Free Palestine” T-shirt onstage Friday night at Gillette Stadium, weeks after the venue’s owner, Robert Kraft, barred rapper Macklemore from performing there.

Video and photographs from the concert show the shirt also featured a pine-tree image and the phrase “An Appeal to Heaven.” Members of Mr. Bryan’s band also wore matching shirts, according to TMZ. Other band members wore pro-Palestinian clothing, including a Palestinian soccer jersey. TMZ said it had asked Mr. Kraft’s representatives for comment and had not heard back as of Friday night.

The show was the first of two Foxborough dates on Mr. Bryan’s With Heaven On Tour, with Gregory Alan Isakov and Gabriella Rose as special guests. The second performance is scheduled for Saturday night.

The Kraft Group, which owns the stadium, said in a statement on Sept. 14 that Macklemore’s participation in Ed Sheeran’s Sept. 25 and 26 Gillette concerts “would cross that line.” Mr. Kraft cited what he described as antisemitic rhetoric and imagery. Macklemore has said criticism of the Israeli government should not be conflated with hatred of Jewish people.

Macklemore, whose legal name is Ben Haggerty, said in an Instagram post that Mr. Sheeran told him Mr. Kraft had rallied other stadium owners to threaten Mr. Sheeran’s tour with the loss of their venues if Macklemore stayed on the bill. Mr. Sheeran responded that the decision to remove Macklemore was made by the promoter and venues, not by him.

Mr. Sheeran’s Gillette dates were ultimately canceled because of severe weather.

Macklemore has since announced his own Free Palestine Tour, with shows in Dublin on Oct. 26, Paris on Oct. 29 and London on Oct. 30. Proceeds will go to organizations supporting Palestinians. He has said the three dates sold out.
