The cause of death for Lauren Bennett, the British-born singer who is best known for being the female vocalist on LMFAO’s hit “Party Rock Anthem,” has been ruled a suicide, according to TMZ.

Bennett died on May 29 in her hometown of Meopham, Kent, England. Her body was discovered by her longtime partner, actor Kenny Wormald, and her father.

An investigation was opened into her death on June 12 by the Kent and Medway Coroner Service.

When her death was first announced, her father, Richard Bennett, criticized the United Kingdom’s National Health Service for failing to treat her properly five months before her death. He said that his daughter had experienced a “severe reaction” to a prescribed medication.

“We have no suspicions regarding the circumstances of her death, only deep disappointment that, for five months, medical professionals and NHS services failed to treat her appropriately during her time of greatest need,” Mr. Bennett wrote.

Bennett had one child with Mr. Wormald, a 7-year-old.

“Party Rock Anthem,” Bennett’s and LMFAO’s biggest hit, lasted for six weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 2011.
