Rapper Snoop Dogg will be hosting the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles this month.
He’ll host the live telecast Sept. 27 from the Peacock Theater, marking the first time since 2017 the VMAs have been held outside New York or New Jersey.
The show will air simultaneously on CBS, MTV and Paramount+.
Madonna leads this year’s nominations with 11, including video of the year for “Confessions II — The Film,” followed by Taylor Swift with nine. Nirvana will receive the Video Vanguard award.
Snoop Dogg is a 13-time VMAs nominee who has won three Moon Man awards and first appeared on the VMAs stage in 1994. He closed the 1999 show with Dr. Dre and Eminem and later returned for a Notorious B.I.G. tribute and a 2022 performance with Eminem.
