OPINION:
Will far-left Democrats and their socialist and communist firebrands take any step against our democratic republic before a sense of moral fortitude curtails them?
The prospect of them being unable to stop themselves in their creep toward a Nazi-type amoralism is frightening. It almost seems that new precedents of going one step further into unbounded, immoral territory do not even prompt moments of introspection or pause.
It is no longer hypothetical to think that they would continue to hold ranks, even if they espoused that only certain kinds of Americans be allowed to vote, that American Jews should be arrested simply for being Jews, that totalitarianism be accepted as the new norm and that violence against their political enemies is ethical.
No matter how dismayed independent and conservative voters are at the verbal violence from the socialists and communists in our country, too many Democratic voters seem to take it in stride, as though these “revolutionaries” were merely asking them to pass the butter at the dinner table.
