TV presenter Billy Bush has been hired by Fox News, 10 years after NBC fired him over a notorious interview with Donald Trump.
Mr. Bush joined Fox News Media as a contributor and debuted Tuesday on “Jesse Watters Primetime.”
In a released statement, Mr. Bush said he was excited to share “my perspective on the people, ideas and moments shaping today’s culture … as well as the ones trying to undo it!”
NBC News fired Mr. Bush from the “Today” show in 2016 after the leak of a 2005 “Access Hollywood” recording in which Mr. Trump was heard making lewd comments about women and evoking laughter from Mr. Bush.
Mr. Bush spent two decades as an entertainment journalist, anchoring “Access Hollywood” starting in 2001 and later hosting the syndicated program “Extra” from 2019 to 2025.
He also covered major awards shows, including the Grammys, the Golden Globes and the Academy Awards, and reported on the Olympics for NBC from 2004 to 2016.
Since 2025, Mr. Bush has hosted the streaming program “Hot Mics with Billy Bush.” His hiring marks a return to a national media platform for the first time since his 2016 departure from NBC.
