82 Games third-year coach Eddie Jordan has won with the Wizards. With Monday’s 94-91 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan moved into a fifth-place tie with Jim Lynam on the franchise’s all-time list. Jordan (82-109) needs another 73 victories before tying K.C. Jones for fourth place.
SEEN AND HEARD
The Kobe Bryant legacy lives on. Not only did the Los Angeles Lakers superstar throw away the ball with about five seconds remaining Monday night, he reportedly went ballistic after the game. According to several television media members at last night’s game, Bryant smashed a TV monitor outside the Lakers locker room. Word is that the monitor was property of the Lakers television flagship. Also, there is photographic evidence of Bryant’s handiwork.

—Wizards coach Eddie Jordan when asked earlier yesterday how he planned to defend Suns center Thomas, who scored a season-high 18 points Friday against the Wizards. In that game, Thomas’ point total was twice his average, almost exclusively on perimeter jumpers served up by Nash.
