VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has identified the person found dead in a Vancouver strip mall that was destroyed by fire over the weekend.
Officials said Tuesday that the victim was Amy Marie Hooser. She was a 47-year-old Vancouver resident.
The death has been ruled a homicide. Hooser died of smoke inhalation and blunt force trauma.
The blaze erupted Sunday morning at the Sifton Plaza. The complex included the Oasis Market convenience store, where the body was found.
Officials say Hooser was an employee of the store.
