LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Officials say an ex-worker at the Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock must serve 99 years in prison without chance for parole for sexual abuse of four children.

Charles Chavez was sentenced Tuesday by a judge in Lubbock. The 29-year-old Chavez earlier this month was convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child.

Prosecutors say Chavez molested the children, including three brothers, between May and September 2014.

Four boys testified that they were abused by Chavez after meeting him when he was the game room director for the Boys & Girls Club of Lubbock. Records show some of the boys stayed with Chavez, who was a Child Protective Services-approved caregiver for the brothers.

Chavez testified that the boys lied about being molested.
