FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) - Prosecutors say a Worcester man accused of breaking into two work vans last week is now facing charges alleging he stole $20,000 worth of tools earlier this month.
The MetroWest Daily News reports (https://bit.ly/2ie5gRp ) 34-year-old Elvin Ramos was arraigned Thursday in Natick District Court on charges including breaking and entering into a vehicle and larceny of property worth more than $250.
Prosecutors say Ramos broke into the van owned by Culligan Water Solutions on Dec. 3 and stole the tools. Authorities say Ramos had fled, but a witness saw an article featuring a mugshot of Ramos and called the police.
Ramos’ lawyer says his client was misidentified.
Police allege Ramos broke into two separate work vans Dec. 20 and stole power tools. They say Ramos denied the theft.
