DOVER, N.H. (AP) - A man convicted in a scheme to use a classified online ad to lure men to a New Hampshire apartment and rob them is headed to prison.
Foster’s Daily Democrat (https://bit.ly/2dEMVvK ) reports that Edwin Dorr was sentenced Monday in Strafford Superior Court to 3 ½ to 7 years for each of two charges. He will serve at least five years, which will include his pre-trial confinement.
Dorr was found guilty in August of conspiracy to commit robbery and assault in connection with a January incident at a Somersworth apartment.
Prosecutors say Dorr conspired to use the website Backpage to lure a victim to the apartment under the guise of paying for a sex act with Dorr’s girlfriend. The plan had been to rob the victim and intimidate him into leaving.
