ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C. (AP) - Deputies in North Carolina have arrested two people in connection with the shooting death of a pizza delivery driver.

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office says on its Facebook page that 26-year-old Nashown Alston of Roanoke Rapids is charged with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was arrested on Thursday and is jailed without bond.

On Wednesday, the sheriff’s office also arrested 18-year-old Cortez Powell on charges of murder and armed robbery in the shooting death of 21-year-old delivery driver James Anthony Lee Jr. on Tuesday.

It’s not known if either suspect has an attorney,

Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said Lee was delivering a pizza early Tuesday when he was shot and killed. Investigators say Lee’s manager found his body after he didn’t return from the delivery.
