SPARKS, Nev. (AP) - Sparks police are investigating the stabbing of a man who says he was asleep when he was attacked in a local residence.

Police say Joshua Beeler is being treated at a Reno hospital for a cut to his arm and puncture wound to his back.

Investigators say an employee at a nearby preschool at Pyramid Way and E Streets called 911 after finding Beeler bleeding outside the school at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Beeler told police he woke to find two men beating him inside a home near the 500 block of Pyramid Way. He told them he wasn’t sure where the house was and couldn’t provide any more details.
