JACKSON, Miss. (AP) - Two Mississippi inmates have been captured 12 days after they escaped from a facility on the Gulf Coast.
The Mississippi Department of Corrections says in a news release that 33-year-old Zachary Savoie and 21-year-old Joshua Walton are back in custody Friday.
Details about their capture were not immediately released.
The two men escaped Sept. 11 from the Harrison County Community Work Center.
Savoie is serving a four-year sentence for a residential burglary conviction in Pike County, while Walton is serving a six-year sentence for a residential burglary conviction in Neshoba County.
Savoie was sentenced in September 2015, and Walton was sentenced in March.
