RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - Huron made six free throws in the last minute to hold off Yankton 61-56 Saturday for fifth place at the South Dakota Class AA boys basketball tournament.
The Tigers (23-2) made 17 of 20 shots from the line. Justin Decker had four free throws down the stretch and finished with 24 points. He was 8-for-16 from the field with six rebounds.
Lucas Morrison had 13 points and Will Carr 10.
Brady Hale led Yankton (14-11) with 15 points. JJ Hejna had 14 points, including a basket with 25 seconds left that made it a 57-56 game.
JP Noonan and Decker scored the game’s last four points from the line.
