PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - A Massachusetts man and his girlfriend have been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in Providence.
Thirty-two-year-old Justin Santerre and 28-year-old Lisa Fisher were arrested Sunday at their home in Fall River, Mass. Santerre was charged with murder and conspiracy in the killing of 22-year-old Satchel Ramos on March 2, and Fisher was charged with failing to report a felony.
Ramos and his brother were stabbed on Atwells Avenue while trying to break up a fight. His brother survived.
Another man, 29-year-old Eric Souza of Freetown, Mass., was arrested at the scene and is detained on murder and conspiracy charges. Police say Souza is a friend of Santerre and Fisher.
Santerre and Fisher are detained after waiving extradition back to Rhode Island. It’s not clear if they have lawyers.
