LEAWOOD, Kan. (AP) - A dispatcher with the Leawood Police Department has been charged with four felonies after she allegedly shared confidential information with people not authorized to receive it, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation announced Wednesday.
Kallie R. Turnbow, 39, of Olathe, was arrested Tuesday. She was charged with four felony counts of unlawful acts concerning computers and four misdemeanor counts of official misconduct, The Kansas City Star reported.
The KBI began investigating Turnbow after receiving a tip that she was sharing criminal histories and driver’s license information, the agency said in a news release. The crimes allegedly occurred between July 2018 and October 2019 while Turnbow was a dispatcher.
She was placed on administrative leave in October 2019.
The Star reported that defense attorney Michael Duma said Wednesday he had no comment on the case.
