LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas say a woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of her baby son last year.
Jail records show 29-year-old Kristina Kerlus was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Friday.
A day earlier, the county Coroner’s Office ruled the death of the 2-month-old boy last October was a homicide and the infant died as a result of blunt-force head and neck trauma.
Kerlus made her initial court appearance Saturday. Her bail is set at $100,000.
It’s unclear if Kerlus has an attorney yet for her case.
Demi Kerlus told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that her sister has been wrongly accused.
She alleges that her nephew was injured two weeks prior to his death at a now-closed day care provider.
