KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - Flathead county prosecutors say a man beat another man to death with a cement brick in a Kalispell home.
Leigh Garrett Medina, whose age is either 43 or 44, was charged with deliberate homicide Friday in the July 15 death of 67-year-old Paul David Kellenberger.
Medina is being held on $500,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 8.
Court documents say a witness told police that Medina repeatedly beat Kellenberger over the head with a large brick, even after the witness told him to stop.
Two other people said Medina told them not to say anything as he left the home.
The charging documents do not list a motive.
A Washington state phone number listed under Medina’s name was disconnected. It’s not clear whether he has a lawyer.
