HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A former Fort Campbell soldier charged with killing his wife and trying to make it look like a suicide has been given an Oct. 13 trial date.
Christian County Circuit Judge Andrew Self also set an Oct. 1 pre-trial hearing for 33-year-old Michael Korolevich.
A grand jury charged Korolevich in March 2012 with the December 2011 shooting death of his wife, Kathleen McGee in Oak Grove.
She was shot in the head at the couple’s Oak Grove home the day after being discharged from the Army and returning from her post in Germany. The Kentucky New Era reported (https://bit.ly/OoArXB ) that prosecutors are arguing Korolevich killed his wife and tried to make it look like a drug- and alcohol-induced suicide.
