BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - University of Mary track and field coach Mike Thorson is retiring at the end of the month, after nearly a quarter century at the Bismarck school.
Thorson is a four-time NAIA coach of the year and a member of three halls of fame, including the NAIA Hall of Fame. Marauders Athletic Director Dale Lennon calls him a legend.
Mary has launched a search to find Thorson’s successor.
