VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Clark County Sheriff’s Office detectives have arrested a suspect in the arson and homicide at a Vancouver strip mall.

Officials say Mitchell Heng of Vancouver was booked into the Clark County jail on first-degree murder and arson charges on Thursday in the death and fire at the Oasis Market on Jan. 15.

Amy Marie Hooser, an employee at the store, was found dead inside the store. It had been destroyed by a fire.

Hooser died of smoke inhalation and blunt force trauma.

The 21-year-old Heng is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Friday.
