BENTON, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say a Pine Bluff man who had been reported missing along with his wife has been arrested on a capital murder charge after her body was discovered in a well in Benton.
Pine Bluff police said that Molten Oglesby turned himself in to authorities Sunday after the discovery of his wife’s body. Friends and family had reported Oglesby and his wife, Stephanie Turntine, missing last week after Turntine failed to show up to work and also pick up her grandchildren.
Police said searchers found Turntine’s body in the well after detectives received a tip.
Oglesby is being held without bond in the Jefferson County jail on suspicion of capital murder and kidnapping. Authorities did not know whether Oglesby had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
