PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A North Adams man has been sentenced to about in months in jail for repeatedly abusing a woman.
The victim described before sentencing Monday the terror she felt when she believed she was going to die at the hands Nathan Tatro.
The Berkshire Eagle reports (https://bit.ly/2fwaqot ) that the 43-year-old Tatro was sentenced after pleading guilty to several domestic violence charges in Berkshire Superior Court.
Police say the abuse began when Tatro followed his 41-year-old victim to a store in December 2014 and violently confronted her in the parking lot. After reconciling, Tatro assaulted the woman on two other occasions in 2015.
Tatro was also placed on two years’ probation and six months of GPS monitoring. He will enter a certified batterer’s program and was ordered not to contact his victim.
