Missing South Carolina man found dead in woods near his home

CAMDEN, S.C. (AP) - Authorities in South Carolina say a man who had been reported missing has been found dead in the woods near his home.

News outlets report the body of Paul Dollarhyde was discovered Thursday evening in Kershaw County.

Dollarhyde was reported missing Sunday. Officials said he was last seen going to a store nearby.

The sheriff’s office announced the death on Facebook and said it waited to publicly release the information until Dollarhyde’s family had been notified.

The social media post says an autopsy has been scheduled with the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office to determine Dollarhyde’s cause of death.
