BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - Investigators say the death of a 79-year-old man found near a Massachusetts river last month after a troop of Boy Scouts reported something suspicious remains under investigation.

The body of Richard Kandrotas was found May 13 near the Concord River in Bedford. A Boy Scout group had been picking up trash in the area when they spotted something odd on the embankment, and called police.

Prosecutors say it appears Kandrotas’ body was moved there after he died and they consider the death suspicious.

Kandrotas was last known to be staying in the Cambridge area.

A cause of death has not been released.
