CARMEL, Maine (AP) - Authorities in Maine say a forest service helicopter has found the body of a man who had been missing for more than two weeks.
The Maine Forest Service helicopter found the body of 25-year-old Hermon resident Ryan Messer in the woods on Thursday. Messer had last been seen on the afternoon of April 14 in his hometown.
The Bangor Daily News reports the sheriff’s office was also conducting a ground search in the woods at the time the forest service found Messer’s body. Messer’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office to determine cause of death.
