WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A Delaware man has pleaded guilty to causing the death of his 10-month-old daughter by leaving her in a hot car.

The Delaware Department of Justice announced 37-year-old Syiee Parker of Wilmington will be sentenced next year after pleading guilty to criminally negligent homicide and providing a false statement to a law enforcement officer.

The department says Parker dropped his wife off at work in July and took six other children to summer camps but failed to drop the infant off at daycare before returning home.

Authorities say she remained in the car for over seven hours and was found later that afternoon when Parker picked up his wife.
