Man charged in connection with 3 stabbings

PLYMOUTH, N.H. (AP) - Police have arrested a man in connection with three stabbings that took place in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

Terrence Simmons, of Newport, Rhode Island, was scheduled to be arraigned Monday. The 19-year-old was arrested Sunday.

Police say the stabbings involved three college-aged men and took place early Sunday near Plymouth State University. One was in stable condition at a hospital; the other two were treated and released.

Simmons was charged with three counts of second-degree assault, two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance and three counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.

It wasn’t immediately known if he had a lawyer.
