NASHUA, N.H. (AP) - The recreation program manager for a New Hampshire city parks and recreation department has been accused of accepting over $3,000 for baseball games he didn’t officiate.
Thomas Dwane, of Nashua, was arrested on a theft charge Wednesday. Nashua police say they started an investigation last month involving the 54-year-old Dwane, who also worked as a referee for Nashua Biddy Basketball games.
Dwane was paid for the basketball and baseball games. He was responsible for sending the payroll to City Hall.
Dwane’s bail was set at $10,000, and he’s scheduled to be arraigned April 20.
It wasn’t immediately known if he had lawyer, and a phone number couldn’t be found for him.
