SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - A former employee of a Pennsylvania counseling center who was accused of directing one mentally disabled man to touch another sexually has been sentenced to prison.
Tyler Scott Williams was given a sentence of one year to nearly three years on Wednesday after pleading guilty to simple assault and harassment.
The (Scranton) Times-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/2r9g4B5 ) that Williams worked at the Scranton Counseling Center, where he was accused in January of telling one man to touch another man’s penis.
He was initially charged with institutional sexual assault but pleaded guilty to reduced charges as part of a plea deal.
Police say Williams initially denied the allegations then said he was just “messing around.”
