BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) - A Massachusetts man accused of driving drunk and hitting three pedestrians in Hampton, New Hampshire last summer is expected to plead guilty.
Wayne Renard Jr., of Salem, Massachusetts, faces charges of driving or operating under the influence of liquor with serious bodily injury and other offenses.
The Portsmouth Herald reports (https://bit.ly/2kKNjt5 ) that according to the county attorney’s office, the 26-year-old Renard is scheduled to plead guilty to the charges and be sentenced on March 8 in Rockingham Superior Court.
Police say Renard’s vehicle crashed through a line of trash barrels at Hampton Beach, struck three pedestrians and left the scene in the early morning hours of July 14. All three victims were hospitalized.
Renard was indicted in October.
