ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - A DFL legislator who says she felt threatened in a meeting with a Republican lawmaker has filed an ethics complaint against him.

Rep. Phyllis Kahn’s complaint says she recently went to Rep. Denny McNamara’s office with Minneapolis Park Board lobbyist Brian Rice to discuss a parks matter. Kahn says McNamara became agitated and accused the park board of shifting business from his nursery.

The Minneapolis legislator says McNamara rose to his feet, began screaming and ordered the two to leave, slamming the door behind them. Kahn’s complaint says McNamara’s behavior is in violation of House rules on civility.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press (https://bit.ly/1MEdDMq ) reports McNamara says he regrets his actions and would like to apologize to Kahn.
