NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee investigators are looking into the death of a woman at a glass plant where she worked.

The Tennessean (https://tnne.ws/1PgK6vD ) reports 51-year-old Catherine L. White of Lebanon died after suffering a severe head injury at the Carlex Glass America plant in Nashville.

Police spokeswoman Kris Mumford said White apparently put her head inside a machine when she began having problems with it, possibly inadvertently activating the machine’s sensors.

Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration spokeswoman Jennifer Farrar confirmed the agency is investigating. The results could take four to six weeks.

Carlex President Jim Shepherd said White had worked for the company for nearly 18 years. He said the death on Friday afternoon was tragic and the company is working with employees to get through the difficult time.
