DUNKERTON, Iowa (AP) - A July sentencing hearing has been scheduled for a woman accused of stealing from the U.S. Postal Service in Dunkerton.

Online court records say 41-year-old Susan Knapp, of Readlyn, entered a written guilty plea to the theft charge on May 31. Her sentencing is set for July 25.

The Black Hawk County Sheriff’s Office says an investigation shows that Knapp stole more than $2,700 through the sale of money orders and took stamps for her own use between March and October 2015. She’s since left the post office.

The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports (http://bit.ly/22V4cAb ) prosecutors agreed to recommend probation and restitution with a suspended fine in return for Knapp’s plea.
