DALLAS (AP) - An early spring hailstorm in North Texas has broken windows in some buildings and damaged vehicles but nobody was hurt.

Parts of Denton and Collin counties were blanketed with hail Wednesday night, with some stones the size of golf balls.

The National Weather Service says the storm north of Dallas moved on by early Thursday, leading to a forecast of mostly sunny skies with highs in the 60s.

An apartment complex in Plano had dozens of windows broken by hail, while a car dealership had some vehicles damaged.

The storm follows a downpour of hail last week in parts of North Texas. The Insurance Council of Texas estimates damage from last week’s hailstorm in the Fort Worth area will reach $600 million in auto and property claims.
