DEWITT, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they’re investigating an industrial accident that has claimed the life of an employee of a Syracuse-area waste removal business.
Police in the suburban town of DeWitt say the accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Syracuse Haulers. Officials say when emergency crews arrived at the business they found a worker who had suffered serious head injuries.
He was taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, where he died a short time later.
Police say they aren’t releasing the man’s name yet.
The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
