The outcome was in question until the Redskins defense stiffened in the last minute, turning back Bradford and the Vikings after they had driven to Washington’s 28.
After two incompletions, the Redskins sacked Bradford on consecutive plays, with Trent Murphy smothering the former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback on third and Preston Smith wrapping him up on fourth down, preserving the win.
