Workers assembled the metal framework for outdoor tents in the parking lot of the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Friday, getting ready for its big enshrinement weekend — one that won't include a game for the first time in 45 years.

Kudos to longtime Washington Redskins linebacker Chris Hanburger on his election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This honor was long overdue for the nine-time Pro Bowler and key member of the 1972 team that reached Super Bowl VII.

Three of the NFL's top 10 career rushers and one of its most dynamic cornerbacks lead a star-studded group of candidates for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
"It was a lot of fun to control the game right there on the field," Hanburger said. "We could audiblize at any time and we could audiblize to any defense we had, whether we had practiced it or not. When you have mature players, it takes a lot of pressure off the coach."
"He's going through quite a bit right now. There's no cure for Crohn's, but hopefully there's a cure to be found for cancer," Hanburger said. "And that's what Bobby Mitchell's trying for, like so many other folks who devote a lot of time and effort to raise money to fight this deadly disease."
