This undated photo provided by the 57th Bomb Wing Association shows a U.S. B-25 Mitchell bomber nicknamed “Maybe.” The plane crashed into a mountain in northern Italy during a bombing mission on Feb. 6, 1945. The two pilots were killed, but they kept the plane steady so the five other crew members could bail out. A memorial ceremony and unveiling of a plaque in the pilots’ honor are being held on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, in a village near the crash site. (AP Photo/Courtesy 57th Bomb Wing Association)
