ADVANCE FOR USE SUNDAY, APRIL 5 - In this photo taken March 18, 2015, Diane Bryant holds a Dr. Pepper bottle and love letter she wrote that Nolan Rogers found when Nolan's family was exploring an island on Lake Murray, west of Columbia, S.C.. The note was from Bryant when she was a teenager who missed her boyfriend, Mike Rogers, Nolan’s grandfather, while at a church camp. She wrote him a note on a paper towel, put it in the bottle and threw the bottle in the lake in 1970. It apparently washed up on this island, where it had rested in the woods for years.
