This undated photo provided by the Illinois Department of Corrections shows 59-year-old Eugene Booker, a convicted serial rapist serving an 80-year-prison sentence. The Cook County States Attorney's office announced first-degree murder charges against Booker Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, in the 1981 stabbing death of 35-year-old Carol Novak of Chicago. The State's Attorney's Office says DNA evidence links Booker to the slaying of Novak who's body was discovered inside her North Side home after being stabbed 50 times. Chicago police reopened the unsolved case last year and sent DNA evidence to a national index system, which matched the profile of Booker included in the Illinois Department of Corrections database.
