In this Nov. 14, 2012 photo, Johnnie Lee Savory of Peoria, Ill., convicted at the age of 14 in 1977 for a double murder, holds a picture of himself as a child. Savory spent most of his life behind bars, until being released on parole in 2006. Lawyers from the Center on Wrongful Convictions announced during a press conference Wednesday, May 13, 2015, that they had filed a motion in the Circuit Court of Peoria County requesting advanced DNA testing that they hope will prove that Savory did not commit the crime for which he was convicted. Supporters, friends and several men who had been absolved of murder charges through DNA evidence spoke during the event at the Peoria County Courthouse in Peoria, Ill.
