The Edsel & Eleanor Ford House Grosse Pointe Shores, Mich., seen in a July 7, 2015 photo, was the former private residence of Henry and Clara Ford's only child, Edsel, his wife Eleanor and their children: Henry II, Benson, Josephine and William Clay. The 30,000 square feet Cotswold style home was completed between 1926 and 1929 and sits on 87-acres of lakefront property. The Edsel & Eleanor Ford House has begun a series of long-term upgrades to restore the estate's historical elements and enhance the experience for visitors. The changes will allow visitors to see the 1920s Grosse Pointe Shores mansion and the estate more in the way members of the Ford family did when they lived there.
